Our team is scaling fast, producing thousands of high-impact social videos every week for the world’s leading lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and DTC brands. With 50,000 sq. ft. of studio space in DTLA and a proprietary approach to AI-driven performance, we are ready to dominate 2026. We need a Director of Performance Marketing who can turn ad spend into exponential revenue growth.
Why This Role Matters
We have the content engine to produce thousands of assets. Now, we need the distribution engine to scale them.
As Director of Performance Marketing, you are the pilot of our clients' growth. You will own the ad accounts, the testing methodologies, and the attribution models. You aren't just "running ads"; you are managing millions in monthly ad spend across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. You will lead a team of Media Buyers to ensure that every dollar spent generates a predictable, scalable return.
What You’ll Do
1. Own the Growth Engine
Oversee the media buying strategy for high-velocity DTC brands, managing aggressive monthly budgets while maintaining efficiency.
Shift the focus from "Platform ROAS" (vanity metrics) to "MER" (Marketing Efficiency Ratio) and "Contribution Margin." You care about real profit, not just what Facebook claims it generated.
Architect complex scaling structures that allow us to 10x spend without tanking CPA.
2. Scientific Media Buying
Implement rigorous A/B testing protocols for audiences, bid strategies (Cost Caps vs. Lowest Cost), and landing pages.
Master the technical side of growth: CAPI integrations, pixel hygiene, offline conversion tracking, and multi-touch attribution.
Diagnose funnel leaks instantly. If the CTR is high but the Conversion Rate is low, you know exactly which lever to pull.
3. Feed the Creative Loop
Act as the "Truth Teller" to the Creative Department. You will provide the hard data that dictates what the studio shoots next.
Identify "Winner" creatives early and build specific scaling campaigns around them to maximize their lifespan.
Spot fatigue before it happens. You know when an ad is dying days before the ROAS drops.
4. Team Leadership & Accountability
Manage, mentor, and audit a team of Media Buyers. You are responsible for their pacing, their errors, and their wins.
Standardize the "High Scale Way" of media buying—creating SOPs that ensure every account is managed with the same level of rigorous precision.
Lead client performance reviews, translating complex data into a simple narrative: "Here is how much money we made you this week."
How You’ll Be Measured (KPIs)
MER (Marketing Efficiency Ratio): Total Revenue divided by Total Ad Spend.
Spend Scale: Ability to increase budget month-over-month while holding CPA stable.
Retention: Client LTV and contract renewals based on performance.
Team Accuracy: Zero pacing errors (overspending/underspending budgets).
Who You Are
1. The "Quant" Marketer
7+ years of experience in paid social media buying (Meta/TikTok) or growth marketing leadership.
You dream in spreadsheets. You understand the relationship between CPM, CTR, CR, and CPA better than anyone else in the room.
2. A High-Volume Scaler
You have experience managing monthly ad spend in the 6-figure and 7-figure range. $500/day budgets don't scare you; they bore you.
You understand that "Creative is the new Targeting," and you know how to structure ad accounts to let the creative do the heavy lifting.
3. A Technical Operator
You aren't afraid of the backend. You understand how iOS14+ changed the landscape and you know how to triangulate data using tools like Triple Whale, Northbeam, or GA4 to find the truth.
You are calm under pressure. When an ad account gets disabled or a pixel breaks, you fix it.
