About the Role:

The Gaffer plays a crucial role in both the preproduction and production phases of our projects. Working closely with the director, producers, and director of photography, the Gaffer ensures that the lighting design enhances the creative vision of the production. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves planning, assembling, and managing a lighting team to deliver exceptional results on set.

What You’ll Do:

- Read and analyze the script to identify special lighting requirements.

- Collaborate with the director, producers, and director of photography to determine the desired lighting aesthetic and align it with the production.

- Develop a comprehensive lighting plan, selecting the appropriate lights and equipment for the project.

- Monitor lighting conditions on set during filming and make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired look.

Background & Skills:

- At least 5 years of experience as a Lighting technician or in a similar role in film, television, or commercial production.

- Strong technical knowledge of lighting equipment, tools, and techniques.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with creative teams.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to lighting and electrical equipment on set.
